PC是一種無定型、無臭、無毒、高度透明的無色或微熱塑性工程塑料，具有優良的物理機械性能，尤其是耐沖擊性優異，拉伸強度、彎曲強度、壓縮強度高；蠕變性小，尺寸穩定；具有良好的耐熱性和耐低溫性，在較寬的溫度范圍內具有穩定的力學性能，尺寸穩定性，電性能和阻燃性，可在-60~value="120" hasspace="False" negative="False" numbertype="1" tcsc="0">120℃下長期使用；無明顯熔點，在220value="230" hasspace="False" negative="True" numbertype="1" tcsc="0">-230℃呈熔融狀態；由于分子鏈剛性大，樹脂熔體粘度大；吸水率小，收縮率小，尺寸精度高，尺寸穩定性好，薄膜透氣性小；屬自熄性材料；對光穩定，但不耐紫外光，耐候性好；耐油、耐酸、不耐強堿、氧化性酸及胺、酮類，溶于氯化烴類和芳香族溶劑，長期在水中易引起水解和開裂，缺點是因抗疲勞強度差，容易產生應力開裂，抗溶劑性差，耐磨性欠佳。

     PC膜主要分為片材/卷材，種類有（透明/磨砂/熒光/防火/無鹵薄膜等）。顏色分為：透明/黑色/白色/乳白 彩色PC膠片。PC薄膜片材用途廣泛，可用于儀表臺，手機，電磁爐，DVD，背面印刷，標牌，薄膜開關，銘板，防護面罩，顯示器，廣告裝飾，絕緣材料，防彈防爆，特別適用于視窗等要求透光性好，耐高溫并耐沖擊的應用場合。
